Young Wateon and a playmate had launched a rude raft on a pool near a farmhouse, and both boys fell off the raft into the water. Mrs. Watson and her twelve-year-old daughter hurried to the pool, and the girl plunged into the water to save her brother, but her efforts were unsuccessful.
