HOCKEY TOURNEY
[BT TBMKJBAPH— PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] v TIMARtJ, 10th September. Twenty teams, including some from Ashburton and Waimate, took -part in a hockey tournament this afternoon in fine weather. Ashburton won the Senior men's event after five strenuous spells with Terangi (Timaru), I—o. In the junior grade St. Mary's beat Ashburton, 2--0 - Of the eight ladies' teams, High School A eventually won over Waimate A by 1 goal to 0.
