Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following averages for fleece wool at the sales now , current : — Maiahiwi, Masterton, lOd; t BA over- M, Wanganui, Bid; Ohau, Ohau, Bid; J circle A, Neteon, 9 11-16thsd; FR over X, Nelson, 9 7-16tfasd; T.J.J.8., Nelson, 9^d; B over Fernglen, Masterton, lO^d; H. and CM., Greytown, lOJdj Pram, Paraparaumu, BJd; Ruatea, Alfredton, 9d. The cable further adds : "Th© market is stronger, with active American competition." The Bank of New Zealand has. re* ceived the following cable advice from ite London office, dated 10th inst. : — Current prices for North Island farmers' lots, in average condition: Coarse crossbred, 36-40's quality, 9£d to.lOd per lb ; medium crossbred 44-46's quality, lO^d to lid ; Jin© crossbred, 50'b quality, lid to 12d. Current prices for South Island : Farmers' lots, in average condition: Inferior merino, common 60-64's quality, IOAd to lid per lb ; superior merino, super 60-64's quality, 12id to 15id; haH or quarter bred, 66's quality, 11W to 12id. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 10th in*t. : — "Sales continue firm, and lately-reported rates aj\> fully maintained.
