To-day's sitting of -the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M. P-atrick M'Randle, on a charge of being helplessly drunk, was ordered to pay medical expenses (17s 6d). Robert Wallace Ross waß convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called on, for theft of a rug, valued at £4, the property of Robert S. Henry. J-oa. Roberts, who was guilty of disorderly conduct in BoulcofcCsfcreet yesterday, was penalised in the ftuoi of 20a. Accused was intoxicated when ho committed the offence.
