THE A.M.P. SOCIETY
The annual bonus distribution which j is such a feature of the A.M.P. Society is to-day brought prominently before the members by the issue of the bonus certificates for tho year ending 31st Deceni- 1 ber, 1911, which, wem received by them this morning throughout the Common- ' wealth of Australia and the Dominion of New Zealand. Th© cash surplus available for distribution was £879,141, and this will provide reversionary bonuses of about £1,550,000 •which will be no doubt gratifying to the members. To-day is also the forty-first anniversary of the establishment of th<s New Zealand Branch of th» society. The total policies in fore© at 31st December last in the ordinary departmont was 42,011, assuring £14,261,641, including bonus additions, while in the industrial department there were 14,952 policies in force, assuring £531,736. The new business written for 1911 was fui m ( excess of uny previous year, and comprised 3324 policies, assuring £1,016,695 in the ordinary department, and 5904 policies, assuring £229,661, in the industrial department, which, taken together, is equal to an assurance of about £1 5s per head of tl*e whole population of tho Dominion.
