WM. PARK, STATIONER, Palmerston North.

Mr. Park's stationery and fancy goods depot in the Square, Palmerston, which was established twenty-eight years ago by the present proprietor, is specially interesting to artistic and cultured minds. It is a recognised centre for the supply of all articles usually associated with such an establishment. The business has gained steadily, in popularity and interest by reason of the capable systems under which it is managed and the innumerable features of novelty with which it has become identified. Some magnificent art treasures in china and glassware, pictures, artists' requisites, bags, workcases, albums, photo frames, inkstands, and an infinity of elegant bric-a-brac is to be seen there, while of athletic goods the number- is legion. Mr. Park, although conducting an extensive business, has devoted a good deal of service to the public good in various capacities from time to time, and when Palmerston's municipal affairs demanded the best services of our pioneer business men Mr. Park was always willing to lend a helping hand, and occupied on several occasions the position of mayor of the town. He took an active part in the establishment of the High and Technical Schools here, and was a valued member of the Beautifying Society for a long time. His beautiful home, "Te Mahoe," with its , wonderful' collection of native tree's arid shrubs, is one of the sights* of the town.
