SUBURBS LICENSING COMMITTEE
A meeting of the Suburbs Licensing Committee was called for to-day, but as no applications were filed in respect of hotels, there was no necessity for tho committee to meet. The P,ahautanui and Porirua _ hotels are the only licensed houses in the Suburbs district, and they will cease to exist as such at tho end of the month. The case of these two hotels and others which were included in "dry" areas as a result of the redistribution of electoral boundaries, will in all likelihood bo dealt with in Parliament next session.
