ANNUAL DINNER. , The E**ening Post employees' eighth annual reunion was held at the Burlington, Wiffis^sfcreet, last night, and was /unanimously, .voted as being tho most euecesslol that has yet been, held.' Mr. 3?. Jones, m&mtger of the jobbing department, presided over the gathering, which numbered nearly eighty, all the various departments being well represented. 'Apologies for unavoidable - absence Iwere reccriwed from Mr., L. P. Biundell and Mr. Gres4ey Lukin. A •very pleasant feature of the affair was itbe large number of "old hands'' apresent — men whose term of employment extends over periods ranging from twenty tto forty yeaae. Those gentlemen responded, Mr. Goorgeson indulging in come reminisceEces of the early days and the old hands which greatly interested and amused those present. Other toast« were: "Literary Department," proposed by Mr. A. .Wnitelaw, and responded to by Messrs. \v". J. Guerin and F. J. Esrle; "The Editor, Mr. Gresley Lukin," proposed by Mr. J. Biundell ; "The Commercial Staff," proposed by Mt. 3. Grealish and responded to tby Messrs. W. Harrington and M. Beck ; " The Mechanical Staff/ proposed 'by Mr. Percy Biundell and responded to toy Messrs. Wynne and Alexander; "The Stone Hands," proposed by the chairman and responded to by Mr. C. Currie ; " The Ladies." proposed by Mr. 'A. Chorlton and responded to by Messrs. K. -Ross and Len. Biundell; "The Chairman," proposed by Mr. W. J. Blundejl; and "The Committee" — Messrs. T. Jones, G. Clarke, J. R. Gibbons, T. Hodges, S. Hall, V. Clifford-Roberts, 'A. Wbitelaw, L. Brown (secretary), and ftV. Harrington (treasui'.sr). Mr. D. Kenny presided at the piano, and ' an excellent programme was provided by Messrs. P. Fitzgerald, G. Osfoome, E. BlundeH, T. Hodges, M. Beck, J). "Kenny, and W. Hill.
