KILBIRNIE SKATING RINK.

The Kilbirnie Rink still continues to be well patronised. A special attraction in the shape of a ladies' graceful skating competition ie to be held to-morrow night. The competition ie open to amateurs only, who have never won, a prize. Usual sessions this evening, band in attendance. A very enjoyable evening was spent by the employees of Messrs. Cable and Co., the occasion being a presentation j of an armchair -to the foreman (Mr. H. Little). Mr. J. Johnson, secretary of the Boilermakers' Union, presided. There were eongs and recitations, and speeches were made eulogising tho many good qualities of Mr. Little.
