MILLIONAIRE BRIBES STOKERS - BOAT LOWERED BEFORE ORDERS ISSUED. (Received April 23, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, 22nd April. Some newspapers report eteward Whitley as eaying that a boat was lowered on the 6tarboard side before the officers had issued the ordere. It contained an American millionaire, hie wife and child, two valets, and seven firemen, all of whom were bribed. Each ot tbeee received aboard the Carpathia the sum of £5.
