ENGINEERS' FACING DEATH
LETTER BY ADMIRAL BERESFORD. (Received April 23, 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, 22nd April. Lord Charles Bereeford, in a letter to The Times, says the fact that the ligbte were burning until a few minutes before the Titanic's last plunge, shows that the engineers remained at their posts for two i hours after it wae known that a terrible death awaited them any minute through the bursting of a steam pipe.
