During the fighting between the soldiery and workmen, at the gold-washing works of the Jena Company, at Irkutsk, Eastern Siberia, 150 persons were killed and 250 wounded. The miners were subjected to a merciless fire by th« military. Many -who had been, wounded were shot while crawling to shelter. < \ ■
