ACCIDENT TO A FIREMAN.
[BX TEIEGBAPH — PEESS ASSOCIATION.] TAIHAPE, This Day. A railway fireman named A. V: Round was brougnt into the hospital suffering from a serious fracture of the skull. He was engaged at the back of the tender, when the engine he was on was: in the a vicinity of an overhead bridge at Mata"roa, about 5 a.m. Th c driver missed him, and found him lying at the back end of the tender. It is assumed he struck the bridge. His condition is critical. It is believed -be 'belongs to Leeston or Christchurch. ■
