HOW IT ORIGINATED. * By Telegraph— Press Association.— Copyright. MADRID, 12th April. Th» mifltakft with reference to the death of the Pope originated through an official at the Papal Nunciature receiving a telegram announcing his father's death. The telegraphic authorities took the Italian word "papa" to refer to His Holiness, and informed the Prime Minister. Senor Canalejas then told the journaliete that the Pope was dead.
