EXPEDITION'S REPORT
POSSIBILITIES OF NORTHERN TERRITORY. HUNDREDS OF MILES OF GOLDBEARING COUNTRY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received April 13, 8.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Northern Territory expedition found the blacks peaceable and well disposed. The leader, who is not a mining man, hesitates to express an opinipn on the mineral resources. There are hundreds of miles of highly mineralised and gold-bearing country, the surface of which had only been scratched. He is confident that expert opinion would justify heavy expenditure on water conservation and improved communication. The development of the . mineral resources would become a big factor in stimulating progress.
