GRAIN AND FLOUR. LONDON, 12th April, t The English markets are firm though inactive, liberal shipments being oounteraoted by a good Continental demand and unfavourable reports respecting the American crop. A lot of 14,500 quarters of New South Wales January shipment! sold at 395, and two Australian cargoes sold at 38s 9d and 39s 7^d respectively. Holders are asking 40s for South Australian off the coast and 39s 3d tf or Victorian March shipment, while ' 39b 6d has been paid for "near parcels and 38b 3d for April shipment. There is a quiet demand for Australian on the spot at 41s 6d and 425. Supplies are small. New Zealand is at 39s and 39s 6d. Flour. — The market is firm, and there is a fair demand. Oats. — The market ib firm, and prices are unchanged. Peas are quiet. New Zealand average quality are quoted at 36s 6d to 38s 6d, fine quality 39s to 39s 6d. Beans (nominal), at from 37b 6d to 395. COLONIAL AND OTHER PRODUCE. Butter. — The butter market is very dull. There is a restricted demand for colonial makes, owing to the prospect of European supplies coming to hand shortly. It is estimated that 100,000 boxes have accumulated in London, mainly owing to the Teduced consumption through the strike. Choicest Australian is about 2s down at from 116s to 118s per owt, with unsalted 2s down at 120s. New Zealand ohoioest is also 2s down at 120s, unsalted ib Is 3d down at 1225. Cheese. — The oheeße market is steady. Prices are unchanged, New Zealand being still quoted, at from 73s to 745. Sugar. — German beet sugar, 88 per cent, net titre, is 6d lower at 13s lOd per OTrt; first marks, granulated, 4d lower at 17b. BRADFORD TOPS. The Bradford' wool market is firm but quiet. SILVER. Bar silver is quoted at 27d 'per ounce standard. METAL MARKETS. Copper. — On the spot, £70 10s per ton, a rise of 8s 9d on the week; three months, £71 7s 6d, a drop of lls 3d on the week; electrolytic, £74 ss. Tin.— On the spot, £197 15s per ton, an advance of 5s on the week ; three months, £194 sa, a rise of 25s on the week. Pig-iron. — Middlesboro' No. 3A3 A 52s lid, a rise of Is on the week. Lead. — £16 5s per ton. Spelter.— 2s 6d up at £25 12s 6d.
