It was decided to grant a library subsidy of £1 10s tb Taita School. The school caretaker was appointed caret&ker of tho manual centre at South Wellington. . Tenders were accepted ks follow: Concrete work at Khandallah, H. Knight, £9 10s; new school at Piimmerton, L. Arcus and Son, £354 j metalling at Ngaio, J. Scott, £53 15s; picture ttamea (twenty-five), R. and E. fingcy, 10s 6d each; renovation of decks,' — M'lntyre; gas cookery and science rdoms, plus cost of stov* at Levin,'£23 6s. TEACHERS' TRAINING COLLEGE. The following recommendations of fcbo Committee "of Advica of vthe Teachers' Training .College were adopted': That as the rural course cannot, owing to the small numbers entered, be this year carried on, Miss M'B-ao b,e engaged in j instructing the students in needlework ! and. cookery, and the'junior students in I physiology, and tho secondary and Standards V. and VI. girls in cookery; salary to be provided from the collego grant under regulation Gb and from capitation earnings.
