WELLINGTON ORPHANS' CLUB.
The final meeting of the executive before the annual general meeting, which L> iixed for the Ist' April at tho Grand Hotel, recently took place. -Dr. Izard, president, was in the chair. The matter of securing more commodious and comfortable premises was diacueeed, and the final selection for permanent premises was made. The ensuing session will be held in the Masonic Hall, Boulcott- • street, and the " first " night of the club will probably be held on the 4th May next. It was further decided to invite His Excellency the Governor to accept the office of patron and preside during the session. It was resolved to distribute the report and balance-sheet to i members before the annual general meeting. The secretary reported tho resignations of Messrs. H. C. Tewsley and S. Moran, who are leaving Wellington. Regret was expressed at their locs. It was resolved to recommend the incoming committee to adopt a member's badge this year. It was suggested, in i view of tho visit of tho representatives of the Auckland and Southern clubs, that the ladies' night be fixed for tho same time, and be held in the Town Hall.
