PHARMACY BOARD. BIENNIAL CONFERENCE.
The biennial conference of members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand is being held at the National Mutual Life Association's buildings. The members present are: Messrs. W. H. Woollains (Auckland), F. Castle, G. Bagley, A. Hobson, and L. M'Kenzie (Wellington), W. Barrett and L. Bonnington (Christchurch), and J. A. Haslett and B. S. Scofield (Dunedin). At this morning's sitting, after routine business had been dealt with, consideration was given to a proposal to secure exemption of chemists from service on juries, and it was decided to make representations on the subject. To-morrow the board will confer with the Health Department to endeavour to arrange a mutually satisfactory settlement of objections taken to the proposed Poisons Bill. At the conference with the department the Pure Food and Drug regulations will be considered. The board's sitting will extend orer several day 6.
