Bowling for the winners Hill took five wickets for 7 (including a "hat trick") and Spotswood, three for 7. Balks (four for 20) • and Newbigan (four for 18) bowled well for the losers. Teams representing the casual and Permanent staffs of the Harbour Boaid met at Newtown Park. Permanents scored 145 (Dempbter 38, Lambert 29, Edwards 25, Clarke 18), Casuals replying with 88 (Hamilton 33, Roberts 19, Sullivan 14, Dumbleton 12). The final game in the A grade ot the Junior Association's senior competition was played on Saturday, Evans Bay defeating Kilbirnie by 71 runs on the first innings. Scores: Evans Bay 137 and 208 (M'Kay 62, Carswell 44, Day 43, Smith 27, Gambrill 23); Kilbirnie 66 and 77 for no wickets (Murphy 42 Russell 38). J BOYS' LEAGUE. The final matches of the Boys' League championship were concluded on Saturday. In tho senior grade, V.M.C.A. defeated Institute by 67 rune, after a -keenly • contested game. By this win V.M.C.A. hold the Governor's Cup for the eoaeon. The- following were the highest scores :— Y.M.C. Ponsonby batted all the afternoon against North Shore, and made 221 (Sneddon scoring 101, Robinson 54, and Kavanagh. 21). It was Sneddon's. third century this season. Perfect weather prevailed for the continuation of the final round of matches, whilst the -wickets and outfields were In perfect order. Both matches at Haglcy Park were very closely contested. Riccarton just got home against East Christchurch for a two-point win, whilst St. Albane, who appeared to be in a losing position towards the end, came with a rush and just got home. Linwood made an unexpectedly good stand against Sydenham, and the iatter's chance of getting a three-point win, which will be required to gain them the championship, appears somewhat remote. Scores : — Sfc. Albans, 310, v. West Christchurch, 297 (Donnelly 68, H. B. Lusk 57, D. Reese 77). East Christchurch, 282}^ v. Riccarton, 299 (E. T. Harper 57,, W. Gumey 72). Sydenham, 307, v. Linwood, 278 for eight wickets (E. Perrin 71, E. Taylor 60). DUNEDIN, 23rd March. The senior cricket matches were played on capital wickets to-day. In the Dunedin v. Grange match, the former made 62 in the first innings and 51 in the second innings, while Grange rattled up 156 for four wickets (Malqolm 68), and declared their innings closed, securing a four-point win. Albion met Opoho%and scored 285 in the first innings (M'Fanlane 211). Opoho responded with 96, and their opponents thereby secured a. two-point win. The Carisbrook A v.
