MIRAMAR GOLF CLUB.
. The opening of the Miramar Golf Club's season took place on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance of members, visiting golfers, and friends. The ceremony was performed by Mr. P. C. Freeth, who, in tho course of his speech, announced that the club had secured a five year's' tenure of tho links. Afternoon ten was served in a, large marquee, which was ' decoiated with flags. A number of competitions were hfcld on th© now putting green, thcresults being as follow :— Ladies' driving, Miss G. Richardson j approaching and putting, Miss E. Ward; putting, Mrs. C. Richardson, Sirs. Spencer, and Miss Doughty (to play off). Men's driving, i\lr. G. O. Sutton ; approaching, Mr. R. .L. •D. Kidstou ; putting, Mr. Kidstou.
