MORRIS-TUBE SHOOTING. GAS COMPANY'S CLUB.
Tho annual meeting o£ th© tVeilington Gas Company's Morris-tube Club wai held on Friday ©veiling, Mr. Chirnsido (captain) boing in ihe chair. The report for the year ending 1912 was considered very satisfactory. During the year nix new members were elected. Tho shoot, ing season opened on .4th April and closed on 26th September, and during that period 21 trophies were fired for, tho chanlpion and handicap aggregate trophies being won by air. Collins Twelve matches were fired for th© Association's shield, six being won and six being lost. This result is (th© report says) very creditable, considering the loss of their captain and coach, whoso work prevented him from attending th© practice shoots. The following donated trophies. : — Messrs. Wm. Ferguson, J. H. Helliwell, N. B. Norwood, A. Dougall, A. Topp, H. Coombes, W. Chirnside, I<\ Thirkell, J. Tague, H. Taylor, — ; Williams, and W. 'Street; Mesdames IT'.'E. Le- Grove,' and?E. A. Banks ; and .the late Gas Company's Cricket Club; also Mr. H. Patratt, two- aronyni< us. and thb secretary. The 'balance-sheet showed th© club to be iii a sound financial condition. Tho receipts for the year amounted to £29 10s lOd and the expenditure to £26 '9s- Bd, leaving a credit balance of £3 Is- 2d. The 'election of officers for tho ensuing year resulted as follows: Captain, Mr. G: Collins; vice-captain, Mr C. Dodgson; secretary and treasurer. Mr. J. Butler; committee, Messrs. W. Koberte, A. Rowoll, 4. Price, and A. Haddon; coach, Mr. Chirnside; auditors, Messrs. W. Wood and H. Ham. Tho retiring captain (Mr. Chirnside), the retiring vice-captain (Mr. Topp), and th© retiring hon. secretary and treasurer (Mr. E. W. Banks) did not seek reelection.
