NEW- PARLIAMENT HOUSE.
THIS AFTERNOON'S CEREMONY. The ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new Parliament Buildings took place this afternoon, in the presence of a large concourse of people, just ac the Post was going to press. His Excellency the Governor performed the ceremony and an address was also delivered by Sir Joseph Ward. The inscription en the stone was as follows :—: — "G.E. This stone was laid by the Right Hon. Lord Islington, P.C-, K.C.M.G., D.5.0., Governor, on 23rd March, 1912. The Right Hon. Sir » Joseph Ward, Bart., P.C., K.C.M.G., D.C.L., LL.D., Prime Minister. Hon.
