AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

■ m» ' ' ' - Messrs. .T. H. Bethune and Co. will hold a property auction on Friday, 29th inst., at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms. They are then submitting a freehold property in York-street, having 38£ ft frontage by a depth of 51ft, at present unoccupied, and leasehold property adjoining, having the same area, with two-story brick building, lately occupied by Messrs. Alcock and Co., Ltd. Tho lease expires in 1917, and the building is described as suitable for any olas* of manufacturing business. At the same tim© they are submitting a property in Roxburghstreet, comprising freehold land, having a frontage of 34ft by a maximum depth (irregular) of 98ft, with seven-roomed house thereon, No. 50, having bathroom, scullery, etc. This property is situated near the Courtenay-place tram section. A building site at Thorby's Farm, Northland (near the tunnel) will also be offered. This has a frontage, of 42ft lin to Thorby-street by a depth of- 126 ft, and the section is one of the first selected in th© Bubdivision. The firm insert an amended list of business and residential properties which they have on their books for private sale; ateo a number of houses to let, both furnished and unfurnished, offices, and storeroom accommo dation. Messrs. Brand and Johnston advertise particulars of a sale of household furniture and upright grand piano aud effects, etc., to be held on Monday, on the premises, No. 131, Ghuznee-street, commencing at 1.30 o'clock. On Wednesday, commencing at 1 o'clock in their rooms, they will hold a sale of household furniture, removed to their rooms for convenience. Included in the catalogue will be found five pianos, two chesterfield lounges, leather dining room suite, high-back oak dining room suite, and oak bedroom suite and bedstead. On Thursday, commencing at 1.30 o'clock, on the premises, No. 26, Wel-lington-terrace, they will hold an auction sale of the whole of the household furniture and effects, on accctint of Miss Harper, who* is leaving for England. On Tuesday, 2nd April, at 12.30, the firm will hold a sale of household furniture, including upright grand piano, etc., on the premises, No. 14, Mulgrave-street, on account of Mre. Baasingthwaighte. They also advertise houses to lefc in Thorndon and suburbs, furnished and unfurnished. A. D. Wilson and Co. will hold an auction sale of household furniture and piano at their rooms, 26, Brandon-street, on Wednesday next at 1.30 p.m. The contents of seven rooms will be submitted. On Friday, also at their rooms, commencing at 2 o'clock, they will offer a traveller's collection of samples of E.P. ware of all descriptions ; also a collection of books and pictures. The same firm will hold a sale of several properties at 12 o'clock on Wednesday. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will sell by public auction, at their rooms. Lambtonquay, on Monday, 22nd April, at 2.30 p.m., by order of the mortgagee, a property known as No. 234, Wellingtonterrace. The house is situated at the top of Wellington-terrace, having beautiful views over the harbour, standing on ground of nearly a. quarter of an acre, with accommodation of about ten rooms. Particulars are advertised in this issue. Messrs. Thompson Bros., Ltd., will sell at the fruit exchange, Blair-street, on Wednesday next, at 1.30, by public auction, under instructions received from the holders of the bill of lading, 100 case 3 pine cubes, l£lb tins ; also a quantity of general merchandise, and one, gentleman's free-wheel bicycle.
