All tunnel miners are to be reinstated as required, including Cairns, the delegate whose dismissal was the original cause of the trouble. The hewing rate is to be 2s 4d per ton — the same price as prevailed betore the dispute. The conditions of working are also to be the same. All men employed at the blast furnace prior to the dispute, and who ceased work when the strike commenced, are to be employed in their old positions immediately a settlement is effected. The ironworks are to be restarted as early ac possible; employment as it becomes, available to be given to men who were employed previous to the dispute ; and no strangers are to be put on until the list of the old hands is exhausted, or until men are not available. Work is to be found by Mr. Sparkes, the representative of the Chamber of Manufactures, for all men taken on since the dispute occurred, and these men will " be taken away from the works immediately the agreement is signed.
