MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day. For being drunk while in charge of a. horse and cart, Joseph Fitch was fined 40s. He was also made the subject of a, prohibition order. '« William M'Leod was fined 10b for drunkenness, and a first-offender wao convicted and discharged. Ormond Henry O'Neill and Norman James Smith, who were found helpleesly drunk yesterday, were remanded for one week for curative treatment. Two young men, named Stephen Hansen and William Mundy, who had a stand-up fight in Willis-street last evening, wore each penalised in the sum of 20s, with witnesses' expenses (ss). Hansen's face was badly cut in the fight, and ho was ordered to pay the cost of medical treatment. At the Mount Cook Police Court, Jane Walsh was convicted and discharged for drunkenness.
