At the wool sale there was a large selection, and_ prices for tho best classes wore fully maintained. All_ crossbreds> and shabbier merinos were in buyers' favour generally, prices being about 5 per cent, lower. TIMARU, This Day. At the thiSr wool sale 7998 bales were offered. ■ Competition was keen and prices firm. The range of this morning's prices was: For Merino fleece, 8d to 11-id; halfbred, B£d to 10|d; crossbred, ffd to 9d.
