EMBEZZLEMENT CHARGES.
LARGE SUM INVOLVED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 29th January. Following on the issue of a warrant and the subsequent arrest in San Francisco of Macpherson, accountant to the Singer Sewing Machine Company, on a charge of embezzlement, the company has now issued a warrant for the arrest of F. D. Brown, Australian general manager of the company, on charges of conspiring with Macpherson to delraud the company. Bvown, who is absent in India, is further oharged with embezzle* meat. It is stated that the total irregularities involve nearly £23,000.
