The managers of the Technical School will meet on 9th February, when arrangements will be made for the holding of the annual meeting on 6oma eubee- • quent date during the mouth. A spell of hot weather is being experienced at present. There is a big demand for houses in Masterton at present, and as a consequence rents are going up considerably. Tue demand is attributable to the fact that there have been very few houses built for leasing purposes during tho past year.
