Takapuna Maiden Hurdles, of 100 soys; one mile and a-half. — Lloyd«, 9.4, 1; Matarere, 10.0, 2; Captain Paul, 9.0, 3. Scratched — Master Theory and Master Sly. Won comfortably by three lengths. Time, 2min 57sec. Suburban Handicap, of 100 soys ; five furlongs and a half. — Peggy Pryde, 6.10, 1 ; Red Lupin, 8.6, 2 ; Mahinga, 7.0, 3. Scratched : Lucille and La Reina. Won by a head, a neck between second and third. Time, lmin 10 l-ssec.
