A meeting of the Executive Council of the New Zealand Athletic and Cyoling Union was held at Hamilton on Saturday night, Mr. Kennedy (the president) in the chair. Campion's appeal against his disqualification by the Marlborough Centre for alleged wrong performances, was upheld. By this decision he receive* the prize in the race he won at the Blenheim meeting. The Marlborough Centre waa instructed to enquire into the performances of other competitors claiming the title to the second prize. On the recommendation of the Hawkes Bay Centre, Jas. Butler's name was removed from the disqualification lists. The present system of awarding record certificates is to be abandoned. It was decided that as there was no evidence that Trembath and M'Lachlan took any part in conniving at the "nnging-in " of Greig, the matter be allowed to drop. The rules are to be revised, particularly regarding cycling and the control of motor cycling. Michekon was reinstated aa an ' amateur cyclist on tho recommendation of North Otago. . Charges of not being able to obtain information were brought against its secrectary, Mr. Frgser, by the North Canterbury Centre. Fully correspondence j was read, after which the executive completely exonerated Mr. Fraser. • The question of an enquiriy into the working of the North Canterbury Centre was discussed, but no action taken.
