CORRESPONDENCE.

DRESS CIRCLE SEATS IN OPERA +10USE. •10 THE EDITOR. Sir, — As I understand wo are to be favoured with a new Opera House in Wellington, I should like to draw attention to a defect in the dress circle seats of the present theatre. There is nothing to prevent the persd-hs sitting in the seats immediately behind from continually probing one in the email of thr back with their feet. This discomfort is bad enough by itself, but add to that a muddy night underfoot, and the effect on the dresses 16 not at nil pleasing. The remedy, 1 should think, would bo a simple matter, as either solid backs to the seate or a low bonrd at foot level would prevent unruly feet from straying far enouarh to annoy people. I'm sure if r-his small matter received tho attention of tho proprietors it will greatly add to the comfort of those occupying tho dress circle scats. — I am, etc., COMFORT. Wellington, 27th January.
