Cheese. — The market is. firm.er. There is more demand., The ayaraga price for the week for finest N.Z. cheese per cwt. is— White, 70s 6d ; coloured, 71ft 6d; English Cheddar, 90s. Hemp — The market is a shade weaker; very heavy shipments are expected frpm Manila. ■ The market is dependent on Manila reports. New Zealand good fair grade on spot per ton, £21 10s; fair grade, £20 10s; fair current Manila, £21 ss; forward shipment — New Zealand good fair, £21 15* • fair, £20 lfjs; fancurrent Manila, £22. The output from Manila for the week was 31,000 bales. Wool— The market for merino is a shade weaker. Crossbred market remains firm. Cocksfoot Seed— The market is firm.
