Mr. Windle, manager vof_ the local dairy factory, has received information that the last consignment' of butter from the factory was graded at 93g. / Thie is the highest the» butter from the factory has eve* been graded. Messrs. .Thompson and Payne will comirience the erection of their new theatre in Queen-street this month. Tenders for the work will be called in the course of a week. Twenty new members were elected to the A. and P. Association on Saturday, bringing the total to nearly 1100. ( Local land agents report that there is a strong demand for good dwellinghouses at the present time. The tomato crops here are nearly a month later this year than. last. This is due to the late frosts experienced.
