NO DESIRE FOR OLD POLITICAL CONTROL. C> ' Telegraph,— Press AMOcUtton.—Copyvtgnt. SYDNEY, Bth January. The Railway Commissioner had an interview with Acting-Premier Beeby in reference to tho proposed eight hours' day for railway men and other matters. Mr. Beeby subsequently stated that he wished to lemove the- 'impression that theie were any strained relations between the Government and the Commissioner, and reiterated that the Government had no desire to re-establish, the old political control of the railways.
