FIRE AT MORNINGTON.
DUNEDtN, 11th September. A five-roomed house in Williamstreet, MwningtOß, owned and occupied by Mr. dewgo Duncan Thorn, wrws destroyed by fire to-night. There was no btif; at hofiyj at the time. Mrs. Thorn va6 on a visit to her married son a few doors d\v*y, and snvalt aofcicthing burning. On going outeida «be discovered t!ie house in faiutus. The house was inured for S2OO antf the furniture for £100 in the Btandard office. A number of carpenter's took, which, with a laihe, were insured for £50, were destroyed, but, the- lathe was navwl.
