WANGANUI, 11th September. A sfctious accident occurred thiu afternotm on the flettf convent buildings now in cotiese of .erection on St. John's Hill, Pive men were working on the scaffold* ing a cftnsid«ra.ble height above the ground, wtan the structure collapsed. Tbo awm i*ere precipitated to the earth, and all were more or less injured. One roan, Robart R&wston, had a leg broken.
