The annual Competition between the Wellington and Hutt Clubs for the possession of the "Coates" Cup took place on the Hutt links yesterday, and resulted in a win for the Hutt ladies by the nnrrow majority of three points on the aggregate scores. In the afternoon four-ball contests were hold, honours beiug even, with two games each. Wellington won with Miss A. Pearce and Miss L. Brandon (1) against against Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. Wagg (0), and Miss M. Burnes and Miss Simpson (1) v. Mrs. Rose and Miss Foster (0); and Hutt won with Mips Collendar and Mfs. Hay wood (1) v.
