ANNUAL REPORT.
The annn&l Teport of the Vicboria College Lawn Tenm* Club to be submitted at the annual meeting on Friday next states that the past year has been a very successful one. The membership is now 95, a record for the club. Tho finances are in a sound condition, but two courts ha-ve yet to be levelled, aiid this will entail considerable expenditure. It was intended to level these courts duriug tb& year, but the club had unexpectedly to assume the liability of a fairly large account for fencing, and the committee thought it advisable to postpone the levelling till next year. The report ventures to assert that the interclub matches were not quite so enjoyable last year a* in the previous year, and hopes that some combined events will beincluded in. the programme of inter-club events during the 'fcoming season. The club matches have resulted as follow : Club championship (with a medal and possession of the professor's shield for six months), Mrs. A. H. Bogle^ Mr. J. B. Parker. Handicaps, ladies' doubles, Misses V. Saxon and L. M'lntosh; men's doubles, Messrs. C. Batten and H. H. Daniel] ; combined, Miss G. Saxon and E. Wright ; men's singles, Mr. E. Loughnan. Several members have spent their last season with 'the club, among these being Misses Barkaa, Taylor, and Butler, Mr*, artd Mrs. A. H. Bogle, and Messrs. F. A. Wilson and Randrup.
