PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB ANNUAL REPORT.

The twenty-eighth artiibal report of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club shows thai the club is at present iit N a Very satisfactory position, due largely to the efforts of Mr. Tattle (the late secretary). The number of yachts now flying the club colours is twenty -seven, there being an addition of four new yachts this season. Tho membership roll shows 113' active members, 10 honorary life members, and 23 supernumerary mem bers. Twenty-three new members were elected last season, and there was only one resignation— that 6i Mr. A. H. Turnbull, who was one of the club's oldest members, and who has held: almost «?ery office in the club. The prizes and trophies won during the season wefe presented at a social held in Starr'B Rooms, on 21st July. Th« committee wishes to thank the proprietors of the King's Theatre, the Wellington Steam Ferry Company, also the following, for donations: Messrs. C. J. ward, G. Bothamley, W. H. Tucket and' Co., Messrs. Andrews and Wyatt, G. Jack3on, M. Laing, and R. Tom^ejttj ako the handicapper, starter?, and timekeepers, and the social committee. The balance-sheet shows a credit balance of £13 Is 2d, the largest expenditure being for prize-money. The principal receipts during the year were subscriptions £43 Is, proceeds King's Theatre yacht night £33 9s 6d, entrance fees £30 9s 6d.
