Far a breach of a prohibition order, John Scott was mulcted in a penalty of £2, with the option of seven dayo' detention. A youth admitted theft of a ring, valued at 30s. As it was his first offence, and his employers were willing to take him baok into their employ, he was given a ohane* by th«i Magistrate. A conviction was entered, atul accused was ordered to conifl up for Sentence when called upon. At the Mount Cook Polico Court this morning, before Mr. W. Light, J.P.. the following oa«es of drunkenness were dealt, with: -"John Laurensen wan' convicted and discharged, and two first offenders wore also wnviute'l and discharged.
