I Admiral Lord Charles Scott, formerly 1 Commandef'in-Chief on the Australian etetion, is dead. Lord Charles, who was Vl yea» of age, entered the Royal Navy in 1853, served in the Crimean War on board the battleship St. Jean d' Acre, on the Raleigh in China, in 185?, and was a member of the Naval Brigade duriiig the Indian Mutiny. Prom 187§ to 1882 he was captain of the Bacchante, ih which ship trine© Albert Victot and Pririce (now King) George served as midshipmen.
