AUCKLAND, 28th July. A shop ift Boss-load, Udon-terrace, owu&d and occupied by a man named Pike as a varnMi manufactory, wae gtitted by five to-day. Tho inauraucefi on the building were £230 in the fioyal Exchange, and on the contents J&1S0 in thu Commercial Union. GHEYMOUTH, 28th July. Th& house containing the oil ■ engine and fan of tho Brunts mm« caught fire this morning. Ihe building was completely destroyed and the machinery damaged. The iw» wa? partly covered by _ insurance.
