TELEGAHPH WORK INTERRUPTED.

CHRISTCHURCH, 27th July. The condition of the telegraph service to-day is much the same as yesterday. Onequadruplex is working through from Christchurch to Greyniouth, whence communication is got with Wellington. On the north line, via the Waiau, the wires have been restored as far as tho Conway and between Blenheim and Kaikoura. The difficulty is now between Kaikoura and the Conway, and, as the linemen are working there now, communication will probably be restored by that route toonorrow. I At 3.30 thfc TelegTaph. Department i notified that one wire via Waiau and Blenheim had been restored, and direct communication with Wellington eerured.
