METROPOLITAN CLUE. A committee meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was held on \Vednes<ky, Mr: C. Wareham presiding" It was resolved to hold a big meeting late in August when a maiden stake and an open stake will bo decided. A local meeting will take place on Saturday afternoon, when a stake for locally-owned and trained greyhounds will be decided. Nominations will close with the secretary, Mr. James C. Donoghue, at the New Zealander Hotel, at B ""p.m. to-mor-row. In his report the .secretary stated that the hares on the club's course were in good racing form and good sport should be expected. Mr. A. L. Parsons, the club"s lion, judge, will officiate on Saturday, and Mr P. Donoghue will bo slioper. The secretary was instructed to write to the Palmerston North Club that the Wellington Club's fixture on 25th and 26th August had been foregone, in. order to allow ownsrs and trainers to attend the Waterloo Cup meeting at Palmerston.
