As a result of the recent fire, 3000 houses in Kirin, including the Consulates, were destroyed. There are a thousand persons homeless. The fir© was due to incendiarism on the part of revolting Chunchusee. Other fires through incendiarism are xeported from various points along the East Chinese Railway. Immense damage has been caused.
