TURKEY AND CRETE.
A DEMONSTRATION AT .CANEA. .By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, LONDON, 12th May. Router's correspondent at Canea, ■Crete, report* that the decision of Turkey to send a number of cadia, or judges, to Crete has led to three thousand inhabitants of Canea assembling in protest. It was resolved to prevent the landing, as it wae argued that the appointments were contrary to the Cretan Conetitutions as rocogrMsed by the Powers. There have been no cadis in Crete for eleven years.
