FOUND IN THE HARBOUR.
♦ — AN OLD NEWTOWN BESIDENT. The dead body o£ an elderly man was found floating in the harbour near Te Aro Baths at noon to-day. After it had been removed to the Morgue it was identified as that of Mr. Thomas Henry M'Cauley, aged 71, a painter and paperhanger bytrade, a resident of "Waripori-street for many years. The deceased left his homo on Wednesday last for the purpose of recording his vote at the City Council poll, and was not seen alive afterwards by any of his relatives. It is supposed that he accidentally fell into the harbour. He was a man of somo means. There are no marka of violence on tho body. Mr. M'Cauley is survived by a widow and two married daughters.
