At the trial at the Old Bailey of the persons alleged to have been concerned in the Houndsditch robbery and murders, after some evidence for the prosecution had been heard, Mr. Justice Grantham advised the Crown to withdraw the charge of being accessories after the fact preferred against Peters and Dubof, and the girl Vassileva, the Judge remarking that the Crown must show that an accessory knew that* a murder had been committed, adding that he was doubtful whether it could be proved that the prisoners had been attempting to escape from justice. Mr. Bodkin, K.C., for the prosecution, acquiesced. The trial of the four prisoners for conspiracy to enter the shop of Mr. Harris, jeweller, is being proceeded with.
