Already a kvrga increase in postal matter is noticeable since the inauguration of penny postage. Mr. Josiah Thomas (Federal Post-master-General) has received a large number of congratulations, the messages including one from Sir Joseph Ward, who says : "This completes another link in the chain of Imperial unity" Sir Joseph adds : — '"May its* general introduction throughout the world quickly follow."
